SecD-Day 2025: a showcase of collaboration and innovation

SecD-Day 2025 offered an outstanding platform for networking, discussing current topics, and sharing the latest insights. The event highlighted the vital role that defence, security, aerospace, and aviation companies play in safeguarding our society. The programme was curated by the Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (PIA ry), and the next edition is already scheduled: SecD-Day 2027 will take place on 2–3 February 2027.

Finland’s largest defence industry trade fair

This year, SecD-Day 2025 exceeded all expectations in both impact and attendance. A total of 190 companies from 15 different countries took part, and the international nature of the event was evident in the visitor profile. The exhibition welcomed 4,191 professionals from the industry, including prominent foreign delegations and members of the media.

The event was first held in spring 2023, when Messua supported PIA ry in conceptualising the format. Back then, we were responsible for designing the exhibition layout, building exhibitor stands, and project management. It has been a pleasure to watch the event grow into one of the most important gatherings in the field.

Messua’s role in SecD-Day 2025

For this year’s event, Messua delivered over 130 exhibition stands. We reviewed each exhibitor’s stand requirements, designed spatial solutions, and, where needed, created stand graphics. We also supported clients with a range of practical arrangements, enabling them to focus on what matters most: networking and business development.

For our team at Messua, the implementation of SecD-Day 2025 was a fantastic continuation of our collaboration with PIA ry. The event’s growth from Koskenranta to Messukeskus Helsinki speaks to its established role and future potential. It may well become one of the most significant defence trade events in Northern Europe.

The event’s momentum shows the growing demand and enthusiasm for this meeting place. As mentioned, the next event is already scheduled: SecD-Day 2027 will take place on 2–3 February 2027.
